India with Vedaji

Mumbai – Govardhan Eco Village – Rishikesh – Vrindavan – Delhi
A Pilgrimage through Sacred India with Vedaji
October 21 – November 2, 2024
“India is the cradle of the human race, the birthplace of human speech, the mother of history, the grandmother of legend, and the great-grandmother of tradition.” – Mark Twain
For centuries, India has invoked the deep yearnings of the soul for truth, connection and devotion amongst its’ unassuming visitors. Going on pilgrimage provides a unique opportunity to dive deep into an ancient spiritual culture that can reawaken our sense of inner fulfillment. By having a deep experience in Vrindavan, we receive strength and empowerment to then come back to our daily lives with a new perspective and zest to manifest our inner divine.
As pilgrims, Vedaji guides us to approach our journey through sacred India in a mood of opening our minds and hearts with humility. As he frequently mentions, a journey through India is a journey to our heartspace. This journey will induce genuine transformation, taking us from trauma to transcendence. And you will be in the company of supportive seekers from around the world, forming lifelong friendships, as you make the journey home.
Are you ready to make the journey to your heartspace?

01.
October 21st
We begin this sacred pilgrimage on Monday afternoon as we travel on the wings of our spirit into Mumbai International Airport, where our adventure ride awaits to take us to the hinterlands of Western India to rest and rejuvenate from the body’s jet lag. Those arriving before Monday may find solace at the nearby Lalit Airport Hotel, preparing their minds and hearts to connect with arriving seekers for the journey ahead.
02.
October 22nd – 24th
Our first destination in sacred India is the serene Govardhan Eco Village (GEV), a haven where the spirit of eco-sustainability meets spiritual rejuvenation. Here, immerse yourself in days filled with divine experiences, connecting with the earth and each other. We will establish the foundation for our journey ahead through enlivening sanga (group sessions), kirtan (devotional meditation), yoga classes and storytelling. Spend time roaming the village’s trails, feeling mesmerized by its devotional residents, the beautiful ponds, rich dioramas and curious fauna. Participate in the beautiful flower festival, where thousands of petals are showered on the divine personified, and all of us!
03.
October 25th
After nourishing our souls at GEV, we depart for Mumbai and journey through the skies to reach the mystical town of Rishikesh, the birthplace of ancient yoga in Northern India. Arriving at our tranquil retreat space by the afternoon, we’ll celebrate our first evening with a shoreside meditation by the sacred river Ganga, followed by a heartfelt dinner.
04.
October 26th – 29th
In Rishikesh, awaken daily to early morning yoga, meditation and interactive deepdive sessions overlooking the divine river Ganga. Embrace the opportunity for Seva, serving at local ashrams and participating in food distribution, spreading love and nourishment to those in need.
Our days in Rishikesh will be filled with explorations and spiritual activities—from hiking to the enchanting local waterfalls and engaging in Ganga Puja (ceremony of gratitude to nature), to visiting the profound Neelkanth Mahadev shrine (where Shiva, the originator of yoga, consecrated his energy in service) and Vasistha’s cave. A special day will be dedicated to a pilgrimage to Haridwar and the Neem Karoli Baba ashram, where we will honor and remember our loved ones by offering their ashes. For the inner adventurer, an (optional) whitewater rafting experience is also offered – an exhilarating opportunity to connect with nature.
05.
October 30th
With our minds and bodies synced to a higher energy, we make a beautiful journey through the mountains and plains of fertile India to enter a cosmic spiritual sanctuary called Vrindavan (the land of 12 forests). We will get the opportunity to bathe in the wisdom of exalted seers, both today and for the rest of stay here.
06.
October 31st
As we proceed to Govardhan (the spiritual king of mountains), we surrender to early morning meditations and a day of serving widows on the banks of Radha Kunda (the lake of spiritual ecstasy).
07.
November 1st
Experience the unfathomable personal divine as we perform fire ceremonies on the holy banks of this wish-fulfilling lake, followed by a day exploring Vrindavan’s spiritual heritage, visiting ancient temples, shrines, samadhis (resting places of exalted saints) and participating in the Yamuna Shayan Aarti.
